I’ve had better days.
Obvi, I come from good stock. Naturally, my family had not one, but two entrants in the Westminster Kennel Club.
At the 4:43 mark is my stately father, Creed, with handler #11.
At the 8:20 mark is my beautiful sister, Medusa, with our breeder and handler #10, Rob.
Julius wants a treat!
The Story of How Julius Came to Live with Us
One day, I came home from work to find a photo of an adorable puppy on the computer screen. Yes, yes, all puppies are cute, but there was something special about this blue-eyed, copper colored, handsome puppy. Right off the bat I knew that this was no ordinary dog- this was a Dogue de Bordeaux, a beautiful French mastiff of impeccable lineage. We knew we had to have him.
Moments later, a phone call was placed to Rob, the breeder. From the get-go, it was obvious how much Rob cares for his dogues, and the integrity of the breed. He briefly interviewed us over the phone, to get to know us, and to make sure we understood the particular needs of the breed. A month later, we drove home to Ohio to pick up Julius.
I cannot say enough good things about Rob. He’s always been a phone call away, teaching us the ropes of raising a dogue, and we are so happy to have his help.
Never in my life did I think I would be the owner of a giant breed. Yet, Julius is the sweetest, kindest, and gentlest of giants, and I could not imagine life without him!
